A LITTLE STEAMPUNK..

 Hello everyone,

Hope your weekend is going great with nice weather whether you are winter or summer, I'm winter and loving it, frosty mornings and beautiful sunshine days, so can't complain.

I was playing the other day with a distress oxide I bought called Bundled sage and Weathered wood and tried a little something new for me...........a one layer card, inked straight onto the card base..and I think I held my breath all the way!!

But first, my new die..could be Steampunk...Easter...Madhatter....Christmas....the list is endless..

I went Steampunk..

So here' s the hat with hat band and buckle from Temu..

and I mad ethe first hat, and loved it..

made a second one and added a gear.

then no band and a shiny gold gear..

Then nail art gears..and white shadows..

a few more gears and I was happy with this one...

so here's the ink, bad lighting, dull day and very bad editing..

then wet embossed this lovely pattern stencil...

Then this idea came about while paste was wet..

On went the hat with a good bit of dimension..

one layer and dimension..

and done ..
with a scattering layer of gears, these nail art gears are perfect..

So there we go..

Thank you so much for stopping by, see you soon..

EMBOSS IT..DT

 Hello everyone,

It's LITTLE RED WAGON  time and this week is Imkes turn to hostess and her theme is..

" E is for embossing "...wet, dry or heat set or anything else you  can do with embossing powders or folders..

I chose an embossing folder and used glitter cardstock..

and it came out rather pretty..BUT!!

I embossed again and this time with black card stock then rubbed gold paste on top..

and liked it better, and the pink did not go to waste,
I die cut a couple of hearts out of it..

all my bits were ready..

then out came my very special gems from Nuvo
very sparkly like real diamonds, although you cannot tell here..

Card all done, simple and elegant..

So do come and join us HERE

HERE COMES THE BRIDE

 Hello everyone,

Gosh, I've been missing again, but I've been real busy and not in my craftroom..gasp!!!

Been driving with my daughter and son in law, moving my Grandson to another town to start his adult life..it's a happy but sort of sad time..

Anyway, I had an order and am able to share now, so here is a wedding card..

They wanted a bit of pink, a  bride, and lace.

thankfully I had papers to get the ball rolling..

and layered this cream over pink card stock.

then the papers with foam tape behind the panels for a lift..
and some lace tucked under here and there.

decorated inside and an arch panel to write on..

This little cut out from the papers was the perfect size for this pretty paper frame.

I added a die cut horse shoe tied with string and die cut sentiment and little flower..

Done..
Thank you so much for stopping by..
I'll see you again soon..

SUNSHINE..DT

 Hello everyone,

What a beautiful day here in NZ this morning, a crisp sharp frost then the sun came out and we were back in summer time..

Today is LITTLE RED WAGON day and time for a new challenge and our fabulous Kate is hostess. continuing with her Elton John challenges, and this weeks theme is....Don't let the sun go down on me - include a sun.

So my project this week was whipped up on Wednesday morning as I already showed my project because I had a senior moment and forgot to label a booklet I made with suns in it, nautical style, and when I went into my folder, the folder was bare, and I almost panicked.. I felt like old mother hubbard...

So, decided on tags and ink blending as that was a pretty quick thing to do, and very enjoyable..

4 tags..

yellow distress oxide

A bit of pale blue ( for sky and hopefully not touching the yellow or we would end up with green alien sky..

and a lovely straight line, after masking, of deep blue..

The sun got a mask too and added a deeper yeool..

and the ocean splattered with water to give a white foam effect..

backgrounds done...

time for die cutting, my projects would not be mine if there was no die cutting..
Boats and birds, although that changed from a regatta to a single yacht sailing happily across the bay..

Some memory box waves die cut and glued on, then trimmed..

and there we go..

Four tags done and dusted and 8 hours to spare..

So do come and join us HERE with your sun..

thank you so much for stopping by..

MONDAYS TAG..

 Hello everyone,

I had one of those " what to title my post" days and this is the best i could come up with..

I played with these tags over the weekend, well, Sunday really, and really had a good time..

they came together easy even though there was an oop's in the middle of it all..

My tags were pre made months and months ago
and have using them off and on through that time.
the papers were new sheets that I torn in half all raggerty and stuff..

these fabulous mugs of beer were a freebie off the net..
and I printed and fussy cut them..

this is how I saw it set out..

But then decided to die cut my black silhouette men out, love these guys.
and gave them a gold hat band with a pen and the umbrella handles got a bit
dressed up with gold card stock..

Finally had all my bits together, but was I ready, nooo
I had to add glossy accents to the disc's..

Some warped a bit and my coverage was not the best..
but I added thick card stock on the backs and they straightened out
and were as good as they were going to get..

now I'm ready to get gluing..

made an ephemera with the discs and a small panel and added a charm
to link up with ball chain..

and there is my oop's...I was side tracked by the TV
and forgot to add my beer!!

But then there were six of them..

Holly was busy with her stripper pole while I was crafting today,
she got the zoomies for some reason and  was totally crazy..
She's a funny girl..

So there we go, a few tags to go to my sons shop and hopefully they will go quick..

thank you so much for stopping by..
