SHOW US YOUR EGGS...DT

 Hello everyone,

A new challenge over at LITTLE RED WAGON   # 753 and I'm your hostess and my theme is a late one...

" SHOW US YOUR EGGS "...I know Easter is long gone, but I'm sure there are photos in your files of projects you made....right?

This card is a big one and I had such a neat and happy time making it, it was for an order so had to wait till the kids received it before posting, so made it my DT card..

First up I cut out the eggs..

Carrots, rabbits, flower pots were next up..

coloured the pots..

and the bunnies pink bits, 

then made sure they were fitting nicely into the pots.

The eggs had some treatments too..pink dots fell out, red dots fell out,

 so mixed and matched the colours, that was fun..

The others got the marker colouring..

Then Nuvo crystal drops spots..

They are done..

Die cut grass, lots of them..

Giant carrots...

Holly says hi!..

Layered the grass up with foam tape..

popped on pots and bunnies and an egg or three poked in the gaps..

inside, we have grass, bunnies, and those giant carrots...

But wanted height so out came the mushroom dies..

coloured up..

poked them in place..

made a sign post, for Gwen and Eddie..

added gold die cut lettering..

and made it into a stand up easel..

What a lot of fun..

sol ink up HERE   dying to see what you made..

TAG #2

 Hello everyone,

Popping this cold late Autumn morning, but the sun is shinning, to share a tag..

I printed out a lot of photos I found, they were in sheets..

so cut them in strips and they fitted nearly perfect behind this film strip die cut..

just need a little trimming here and there and fiddly things, but it worked.

Tag was already done, just cut a music strip ti fit and inked it a bit,

punched a hole, added an eyelet and that was when I broke my Crop-o-dile...

Used a new flag die cut a couple and stapled them together..

My new TH viewfinder die, had one of these when I was a kid,

cut it in white, then a black circle behind, cause all those black bits, which were white, fell out and it had holes, so, circle of black!

Bit more inking, I did add a string up top, just didn't  photgraph it..

So, there you go, another tag done and dusted, I love making tags, but at the moment inmy room I'm still boxing it..

Answers to question..

The wallpaper covered box no longer smells, I put room deodorizer in it and it smells pretty..

My crop-o-dile is fixed, my son pulled it apart some more to see how it worked for a such a big clunky thing [ his words]..and then put it back together and found several tricks to it, so that is good...

Tag Tuesday   [ anything goes]

OH,LOOK,MORE BOXES..

 Hello everyone,

Yep, more boxes, but this one was bigger, still made mistakes, but still fun..

this box was a gift box given to me years ago, it was all bright coloured balloons

with a lid and needed a few coats of gesso to cover it,

 then this happened, someone dropped off a roll of vintage old fashioned pre glued wall paper..

so, I covered it..

then added the frame of black, but didn't like it,

 and it also covered the girls faces, well, that wasn't good.

So, I re cut some panels and ...

glued them on top...and made the sure the faces were centered,

 and you could see them...

now I needed corners and remembered this Spellbinders die set from 100 hundred years ago

found it and started cutting..

very happy at this point, BUT, there was a terrible smell in my room,

 it wasn't me or the cat, it was the wall paper, the old paste was smelling..

I carried on and made edging with black card stock on the corners and more edging along the top of the box..

added a label and will add lettering when I know what is will be for..

This is showing how bright the box was..

definitely need to cover the lid, whether I use it or not..

edge inside using a Fiskars border punch...

but left it after that as I love the soft green inside with the white spots..

Lid covered...

Box and lid together..

But as I put the label higher as to not cover the girls faces,

 the lid fits on but not that great..

Never mind, there she is nestled on my shelf right in front of me

under the TV top right.

I just put the lid behind, looks fine..

So, there we go..

MORE BOXES...

 Hello everyone,

So, when you leave your stuff laying about that you made, someone always pops in to say hello and " What you got there " so, you show them and proudly say I used all these boxes to make this and show them a couple more projects, and then the next day you go outside and there on your porch is 100 more boxes to play with....................................................................BUT..not all are suitable so you have now become to neighborhood recycling center...

I have used quite a few over the last six or so weeks, so here is another desk top project, we will call it " cabinet #2 "..[ insert a smiley face ]

This was a chocolate box..

I wanted to keep and use the clear lid...

so, these are the boxes I used...

all glued together, the layered with masking tape, that makes them incredibly tough..,and

sorry about the lighting, I don't know what's happening.. 

after that, they were all covered with telephone pages..

and PVA glue.,,see.

Now ready to be sealed and decorated..I painted white gesso all over first, just a thin layer

then fussy cut roses, lots of them from TLC printables..

and popped them here and there..back

and front..

I only have funny things in it, nothing in the see through cabinet yet, just not sure what to put in there, just like it sitting up there so I can look at it..

the end add on box has my envelopes I made, so that is handy..
